professional Stone Carver for over 20 years. Lou Beretta was raised
in and around the Field of Sculptural and ornamental stone work. His
Family journeyed from Carrara Italy to the marble fields of Rutland county, Vermont, and
eventually located in the Limestone City of Bedford, Indiana. Lou
Apprenticed under renowned master
carver Frank Arena.
Lou
does a full line of carving from sculpture and statuary to architectural ornament and fireplaces. He
works all calcitic Limestone's and
white marbles from the USA and Italy. He operates his own studio and works out of 3 Stone Mills in
the Indiana Limestone belt and a small studio in the Texas Hill Country, plus on sight work through out the United States and
has carving Work in 12 States. He
is a member of the Indiana
Limestone Institute and
the Journeymen stone cutters association of Indiana.
